Developing confident, respectful and successful young people
Year 11 students at Wellsway School have yet again achieved an outstanding set of GCSE results.
All schools have had to deal with significant changes to GCSEs and the uncertainty this brings. We are delighted that over 80% of students have passed English and maths at Grade 4 or better and 77% gained 5 or more good passes including English and maths. Particularly pleasing was a significant improvement in the attainment of students across the Sciences, including an incredible 13% achieving a grade 9 in Chemistry (a grade reserved for the highest attaining student nationally).
We would also like to say congratulations to the following students who have achieved the following outstanding individual successes: Megan Sullivan (8 x 9s, 2 x 8s, 1 x 7), Samuel Their (7 x 9s, 2 x 8s, 1 x 6), Alyssa Hunt (6 x 9s, 2 x 8s, 2 x 7s, 1 x 6), James Spincer (3 x 9s, 5 x 8s, 2 x 7s, 1 x 6), Andrew Dubois (4 x 9s, 2 x 8s, 1 x 7, 2 x 6s) and Nathan Coltart (4 x 9s, 4 x 8s, 1 x 7, 2 x 6s).
“These fantastic results are testament to the hard work of students, the dedication from staff and the support of parents and carers and the Wellsway Mulit-Academy Trust. We are immensely proud of the students' achievements and look forward to welcoming many of them back to continue thier journey with us in September”
